While Gas fleet might look quite similar to a diesel fleet with use of reciprocating engines in both the cases but services under this programme is quite demanding. Gas fleet services have to take into account science of Gas, it’s combustion characteristics that depend upon constituents like methane, higher chained hydrocarbons, CO2, H2S and many others that put challenges both on the performance of assets and its life, if one is not careful.

Gas is by far most clean conventional fossil fuel and it offers Co & Tri-Generation opportunities that is a simultaneous production of more than one form of useful energy. This whole heat engineering platform coupled with the science of Gas make this service beyond the just simple generation of electricity.

LT circuit of any gas engine is quite sensitive causing steep deration of output at higher receiver temperature and therefore, package has a separate heat exchanger to dump this heat.

Gases from marginal fields are generally associated with a lot of water and sludge that can choke gas passage. Gas engines operate in a narrow window optimized for electrical efficiency on one hand and emission on the other enveloped by detonation and misfiring zones depending upon mean effective pressure and air-fuel ratios (lambda). EW takes into account these aspects that can threaten life of assets and disrupt output.
