This service works in close association with Gas Fleet. Sizing of waste heat recovery assets are done in harmony with Gas Power Packs and therefore they operate in tandem. Gas Power Packs have pre-engineered connections that bring source of waste heat into Co-Generation waste heat recovery assets. For example, exhaust gases from Gas fleet can be led into say a waste heat recovery non fire Boiler through a diverter damper while feed water from process is fed resulting into generation of steam at desired pressure. Similarly, jacket water circuit of each of Gas Power Pack can be connected to a Vapour Absorption Chiller asset to provide hundreds of tons of chilled water. It is possible to connect waste heat source to a Hot Water Generator to harness useful energy for certain process industry applications.
Cogeneration or Combined Heat and Power (CHP) is defined as the sequential generation of two different forms of useful energy from a single primary energy source, typically mechanical energy and thermal energy. Mechanical energy is used to drive an alternator for producing electricity.
